I received the following email about an upcoming cycle event that may interest club members:
Hi All
Hope you all had a great Christmas and are now fatter and alcohol intoxicated with a desire to be a changed person in 2012 (the Olympic year)?
If so, you can now plan to get your slim, fit, body back by starting to prepare yourself for the “Phil Cooke Challenge Ride” on 19th February (only 7 weeks away). Make sure you don’t miss this early season local sportive classic (now in its 9th year) by registering now on-line at www.challengingtimes.org.uk registration fee up until the 1st February is £8.00 after then and on the day (subject to the 500 registrations cut-off limit not being achieved) is £12.00, so to ensure your place it makes sense to enter early!
Look forward to seeing you there once again!!
To make it more convenient for riders from the Milton Keynes area we have once again arranged a start point at “Jacks Hill café” north of Towcester on the A5, this event makes an ideal new year starter for both racing cyclists (Jim Moffatt, Roy Chamberlain and Don Parry are regular starters) and sportive riders. Entries can be taken on-line on www.challengingtimes.org.uk or by contacting me on 01788-810212.
It would be great if you could post these details on your club website, or maybe distribute the attached flyers to your club members?
Best wishes
Martin Hackley (Event Organiser)
