The next NBRC Club Meeting will be at the Inn On The Lake from 8pm on Monday 11th March. All welcome to come along and throw ideas around!

Our club President produces an occasional club newsletter, the most recent being a January 2019 edition (pdf).

The next club meeting will be on Monday 14th January at 7.30pm at The Inn on the Lake. There's no agenda, but committee members should there to find out what's going on (and to raise issues, make suggestions and so forth.

I'm hoping to obtain samples of other jersey styles from our current club kit supplier in time for the meeting on the 14th January.

Membership renewals are now due for 2019. Please find the latest forms in three formats through the links below. You can renew (or join), paying by cheque or via the British Cycling website - details in these forms. You don't need to be a British Cycling member to submit membership payments via the British Cycling website. The new membership forms include a statement on GDPR compliance which you should review.

Membership form in Adobe Acrobat format (pdf)

Membership form in Open Document format (odt)

Here's a direct link to the NBRC entry at the BC website, from which you can pay membership subs to the Club using a credit card.

The British Cycling website has a rather busy design - these are the steps to pay your membership fee.

1. Click the red button "BUY CLUB MEMBERSHIP" - this shows the membership options.
2. Select the membership option you require by clicking the appropriate "BUY MEMBERSHIP" button and filling out the form. It's a bit easier if you have BC membership (it pre-fills much of the information required by the form), but this isn't necessary.
3. Once the credit card payment is verified, you should receive email confirmation.

In order to comply with GDPR requirements, there is a new section on the membership form, so this should be submitted to the Membership Secretary even if you have paid through the British Cycling website.

The 2019 New Year's Day '10' will be on the Stoke Hammond bypass course (F5d/10). If you are new to the course, please review the course description and risk assessment. Here is the Course route - includes download links for many GPS enabled computers.

We start at 10am, entry is £4.00 for members, £6.00 for non-members. Please let Robert or Tony know if you are able to help with signage on the day. Please note increased entry fees owing to the increase in CTT levy for 2019.

All are welcome at our club time trials: make sure you turn up in time to sign on. You'll need a mechanically sound bike and a bike helmet. We recommend the use of a rear light, especially in evening events. You need to be 12 or over to ride time trials. If you are under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to take part (download a permission form in pdf format and in Word format). Each of our courses has a route description and a risk assessment - note that time trials are ridden on open roads. Make sure you have familiarised yourself with the course! Here's a brief introduction to time trials.
